Good discussion by the IBM Global Business Services vPanel on The Dynamics of Disruptive Innovation:
“Disruptive” has become the buzzword of the day lately. The panel experts on this webcast remind us that disruption is usually a characteristic of good innovation, but it is counter-productive to start something with the sole intention of being disruptive. Secondly, it is important that CEOs of large corporations adapt more quickly to disruptive innovation at the crucial times in their business. And finally, I really like Navi Radjou’s closing challenge which seems to direct not only at small startup companies: “disruptive innovation done on a shoestring [budget]”.
